Daily Common Sense Skin Care Tips

Standard

Never assume every product is right for you

There are ingredients used in cosmetic products that do clog pores and help to create or maintain an acne breakout. Ingredients derived from myristic acid  such as isopropyl myristate which is derived from isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid are common but can be irritating to the skin.  Be mindful of ingredients in a product.

Immediately take a shower after a work out

Damp hot environments allow bacteria to grow and multiply leading to acne or a skin infection.

Remove makeup before working out

When exercising the pores release bacteria, oil, and dirt when you sweat. However, makeup will block this release and can increase the chances of an acne breakout.

Stop touching the face

Simple but true. Fingers contain countless germs and bacteria. (doorknobs, gym equipment, handshakes, a captured cough or sneeze, keyboards, buttons, etc)  All of this is transplanted to the face every time it comes into contacts with fingers.  It helps to create or maintain acne.
